Meet Chef Katrina Jazayeri

Multiple-award winning restaurateur, Katrina Jazayeri, grew up surrounded by the romanticism of food. At Peregrine at The Whitney Hotel, Jazayeri presents a personal and curated selection of wines, hand selected, featuring prominently small vineyards and winemakers, women led wine production, and natural winemaking methods, all complementing the style and skill of the chefs in the kitchen, but also standing alone as an experience of discovery all on their own.

Drawing on her experience in hospitality and wine direction under Liz Vilardi, of Belly Wine Bar and The Blue Room, and her from the ground up development of Once Lounge with JJ Gonson of Cuisine en locale, Jazayeri’s is a career of nuance and variety. In addition to her restaurants, Jazayeri is a designer, presenting functional fashions under the name Post Oak Designs. Her craftsmanship can be seen and felt throughout Juliet, Peregrine, and beyond, and she is the lead designer for the magazine, Of Juliet, as well as the company’s other publishing projects.
 

In addition to the local and national accolades for her first restaurant, Juliet (also owned with chef and partner, Joshua Lewin), Jazayeri was the recipient of 2016’s Eater Young Guns Award, and in 2018, one of five national Legacy Awards given annually by Les Dames d’Escoffier International, and one of Zagat Boston’s 30 under 30 in 2014.

Meet Chef Joshua Lewin

Returning to Beacon Hill, the site of his early professional career at Beacon Hill Bistro, chef Joshua Lewin is excited to introduce his second restaurant, Peregrine, to a familiar neighborhood.  

Noting some of his proudest and reflective moments, late nights and early mornings, walking the cobblestoned streets of Beacon Hill, after or before long days working to build something special and seeing the seeds of a career sprouting for the first time, Lewin is happy to return to the hill under his own name, with Peregrine at The Whitney Hotel.

Committed equally to excellence in cuisine and service, building meaningful opportunities and careers for their partners and staff, and building welcoming community focused programs at Peregrine, Chef Joshua Lewin, with partner, Proprietor and Wine Director, Katrina Jazayeri is delighted to take his next steps as part of the historic neighborhood of Beacon Hill.
