Events Worth Visiting Boston for in 2023

Boston is a town that stays active with events surrounding its favorite activities — i.e. sports, music, the arts, seafood, and holidays. Checking out the unique events taking place in town during your next visit, or even planning a trip around a specific game, festival, or holiday can both offer great ways to see the city from a memorable perspective with fellow travelers and locals alike. Here are some examples of events worth visiting Boston for in 2023:

Red Sox, Bruins & Celtics Games

Right now the Bruins and Celtics are at the top of their respective leagues, and their home games at TD Garden are regularly the hottest events in town. Their seasons still have a ways to go, and it’s always worth checking out tickets when planning a visit to stay at The Whitney Hotel.

Patriots Day

Patriots Day is a tradition in Massachusetts, and it’s a holiday in April that combines the running of the Boston Marathon with an early-morning Red Sox game at Fenway Park, as well as parties and festivities all throughout town. If you want to experience a special day of fun and no work for the city of Boston, check out the festivities during the 2023 Patriots Day, which will fall on April 17th.

A Major Concert

Boston is a city that enjoys its music. There are a lot of fantastic events in Boston to consider attending in 2023. We recommend the Boston Calling Music Festival, which takes place May 27th-29th, as well as Justin Bieber at the TD Garden on June 20th, and then Dead & Company: The Final Tour at Fenway Park on June 24th & 25th.

One of Boston’s Many Festivals

In addition to shows, Boston also plays host to a wide array of unique festivals. In a city famous for its proximity to world-class shellfish, the Boston Seafood Festival will serve as a worthy example when it takes place on August 7th. For a unique look at the local Ivy League cultures and a historic boating race, you can also head to the river for the Head of The Charles Regatta from October 20th-22nd.

The Holiday Season

Boston is a remarkably romantic place to visit during the holiday season. Come and dress warm for days spent taking advantage of local shopping deals and unique buys, as well as ice skating dates on the Frog Pond, capped off by endless exploration of the city’s restaurants, markets, and cafes.
